Akka was inceptioned as a Safe and Sacred space for the community. A meeting spot where everyone’s welcomed to be themselves.
Akka is a safe space for the local and international community to participate in daily activities centered on the health of mind and body, educational workshops and transformational events.
Akka is a female spirit in Sami shamanism, and Finnish mythology; she is the Goddess of Fertility, the Mother Earth.
Akka was also chosen for the play on sound with the Spanish word “acá” – meaning .
